SOURCE OF DATA

If you wish to know what personal data Zara Maritime has about you, look at your business card.

The data recorded and available with Zara Maritime is from the business cards given out by clients and personnel during their interaction with our directors, partners and employees and from the signatures contained in their emails, or the emails sent by their principals, colleagues, employees, owners, directors or friends.

NO PERSONAL DETAILS

No personal details beyond official details are recorded or saved in any form at Zara Maritime.

Any data, beyond that stated above, when provided socially to Zara Maritime's directors, employees or affiliates, including names of partners or children, or their dates of birth, or marriage anniversaries, or residential addresses, are for personal use by the personnel only, and out of Zara Maritime's control.

PURPOSE

The phone numbers, email addresses, social media sites (WhatsApp, FaceBook, LinkedIn, etc) are used for either social interaction, promote business development, or to discuss the assigned or pursued scope of work with clients for the services provided by Zara Maritime and its affiliates.

DATA STORAGE AND REVIEW

The existing and potential client's data is saved in electronic form and accessible by Google, Yahoo, WhatsApp, Apple iCloud, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social media apps. Zara Maritime has consented to their GDPR Policies but has no control over their cookies, or any leaks or unauthorised access that may affect these service providers.

The data is reviewed annually, or when data owners inform Zara Maritime of a change, or request an amendment or update to their contact details when they change jobs or their employers, change ranks, or are no longer active professionally.

The phone numbers, email addresses and office addresses in Zara Maritime's database are for internal purposes only and are not used for profiling personnel, nor are they shared with other clients or acquaintances without obtaining prior consent from the concerned data owner whose information is requested by external parties.

NO LIABILITY

Zara Maritime accesses and performs work only on that equipment which is permitted by the client, and since the work is performed on client's behalf, under their direct permission and supervision, we do not accept any actual or implied liabilities towards the client, or towards any parties whose equipment, data or services that the client may be using, under a free or paid licence, with or without a direct contract, or under a sub-contract.

Zara Maritime declares that its website is meant to only provide information regarding the company's expertise and experience to existing and potential clients in the maritime industry.

Zara Maritime does not perform financial transactions on its website, nor does it target non-maritime related companies, nor does it subscribe to, or share data, with firms that provide targeted marketing.

Zara Maritime's emails and website are protected with industry standard systems, but visitors to the website, and recipients of emails, are responsible for protecting their systems with anti-virus, anti- malware software and anti- ransomware softwares or by implementing isolation or sand-boxing.

Zara Maritime does not accept any liability, actual or implied, for any damages, commercial losses, compromised IT/OT, leaked data or images, IT/OT malfunction, crash or theft, or loss of business, caused directly or indirectly, by client's interacting with Zara Maritime, visiting websites or receiving emails.

CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP

If at any point, there is a change of directors or ownership at Zara Maritime, the new owners shall receive ownership of the accumulated data, only if they agree to use it for business continuity, and provide assurance in writing that data shall be used in compliance with this GDPR Declaration.

UNSUBSCRIBE or UPDATE

If you want us to delete, or change your data from our records, send an official email from the email address that you want removed, to lifeline@zaramaritime.com using the words "UNSUBSCRIBE' or "AMEND" in the Subject column. Your data will be deleted or amended, and you shall receive a confirmation in reply. If you do not receive positive confirmation within five working days, it may be because your email has been identified as spam or junk, please send a follow-up email or call Arvind Ahuja.
