Assistance to Owners and Third Party Ship Managers - Worldwide

1) Assist in setting up in-house technical department for prospective, and existing, ship owners with practical and economical processes.

2) Assist clients in establishing new Third Party Ship Management Companies with practical and economical processes to cater to ship owners.

3) Verify / Audit compliance with ISM code on board and in operator's office.

4) Verify / Audit compliance with OCIMF / VPQ requirements. Train and guide personnel where required.

5) Prepare Dry-Docking specifications, obtain quotes and submit comparative to clients for selection and finalisation of dry dock.

6) Where outsourced to Zara Maritime as owner's TPSM or on a retainer by TPSMs:

a) Monitor the ships' day-to-day equipment performance, consumptions, speed and efficiencies

b) Verify mandatory certificates and documents are maintained up-to-date.

c) Visit ships, and where required sail between ports, to assess vessel, equipment and ship's staff and understand their recommendations for improvements

d) Address technical issues faced by vessel. Troubleshoot and rectify problems.

e) Mentor and Train ship's staff

f) Liaise with clients regarding requirements for surveys

g) Coordinate with client's purchase department to procure spares

h) Assist with practical budget planning based on present condition of ship, forthcoming planned maintenance and docking, repairs, class and docking requirements.

i) Operate the vessels safely
